Contractor responsibilities
Contractors are responsible for their own licensing, insurance, taxes, prices, estimates, appointments, work quality, materials, warranties, cleanup, safety, and customer communication.
Homeowner due diligence
Homeowners should confirm contractor suitability before approving work. Ask questions about license status where required, insurance, written scope, final price, warranty coverage, timing, and payment instructions.
