Current payment stage
The marketplace may show invoice details, payment instructions, and payment status so both sides can track a job. Those tools do not mean the platform is collecting or holding money.
Contractor payment terms
Contractors set their own payment methods, due dates, receipts, late payment expectations, refund terms, and collection practices. Confirm those details before paying.
Disputes and records
Keep copies of estimates, invoices, receipts, messages, photos, warranties, and payment records. Any payment dispute should be handled directly with the contractor.
